Writile™ exists because writing has never had continuous, comparable data built from real classroom work.

Creating that foundation requires research that starts in classrooms, scales across districts, and holds up under academic scrutiny.

Research

Building the foundation writing has never had.

Our initial peer-reviewed study with Wisdom established that AI-supported scoring can operate reliably in real classrooms.

It confirmed alignment with teacher judgment and validated the instructional layer that Writile depends on. This early work proved the system could scale and set the stage for longitudinal measurement.

Completed study

National norming study (in progress)

We are now conducting an IRB-approved national norming study to validate Writile’s growth and authorship signals.

The dataset is built entirely from authentic classroom writing across districts and regions — the first of its kind designed to follow writing development over time and detect authorship patterns grounded in a student’s real work. This study is the backbone of Writile becoming a trusted measure for classrooms, districts, and states.

Expansion

The norming study will continue to scale in the 26–27 school year, adding districts, ESAs, states, and university partners. Each new region strengthens the stability and representativeness of Writile’s signals.

Get Involved

Schools, districts, ESAs, universities, and researchers can participate in the study or integrate Writile into their own projects.

If you want to help build the country’s first continuous, authentic dataset for writing growth and authorship, we’re ready to talk.
